Career Highlights:

• Joined WGN as a staff announcer in 1959.
• In 1960 he became the first host of The Great Outdoors, which he hosted until 1968.
• In 1969 he created, with producer Jim Disch, the original WGN "Christmas Newscast" which remains, in a slightly revised version, a popular feature of the station's holiday programming each year.
